Statement

Can human experience and emotions be quantified and translated into datasets? Here, existence is recycled into a pocket digital pet that loops between birth and death perpetually. Seemingly authentic memories, stories and conversations feel almost familiar until an underlying artificiality surfaces beneath them.

Technology companies increasingly use the data of deceased individuals to generate new content. Grief turned into an algorithm's raw material, loss outsourced to code. Once a life can be reconstructed from its data traces, what does it mean to die, and what does it mean to be human, when the digital and humanity become so intricate?

It starts from an intimate story of loss, and explores how collectible life data is now used to reconstruct a generated personality with the help of AI.
