Headstone of Graffiti

Intervention in public space, 2021
Various locations, Hong Kong

Statement

Hong Kong has long been a city famous for extremely rapid graffiti removal. The government cleaned up most graffiti by simply covering them with paint. Thus, streets full of rectangular patches of paint have been a cityscape of Hong Kong.

The work is sprayed on sites of graffiti removal. Although the original graffiti is buffed, the traces left behind give prominence to the act itself.
